• Aging. Although there has been interest in using oral 7-keto-DHEA for aging, there is insufficient reliable information about the clinical effects of 7-keto-DHEA for this purpose.
• Aging skin. Although there has been interest in using topical 7-keto-DHEA for aging skin, there is insufficient reliable information about the clinical effects of 7-keto-DHEA for this purpose.
• Anxiety. Although there has been interest in using oral 7-keto-DHEA for anxiety, there is insufficient reliable information about the clinical effects of 7-keto-DHEA for this purpose.
• Athletic performance. Although there has been interest in using oral 7-keto-DHEA for athletic performance, there is insufficient reliable information about the clinical effects of 7-keto-DHEA for this purpose.
• Depression. Although there has been interest in using oral 7-keto-DHEA for depression, there is insufficient reliable information about the clinical effects of 7-keto-DHEA for this purpose.
• Memory. Although there has been interest in using oral 7-keto-DHEA for improving memory, there is insufficient reliable information about the clinical effects of 7-keto-DHEA for this purpose.
• Muscle strength. Although there has been interest in using oral 7-keto-DHEA for increasing muscle strength, there is insufficient reliable information about the clinical effects of 7-keto-DHEA for this purpose.
• Obesity. It is unclear if oral 7-keto-DHEA is beneficial in patients with overweight or obesity. Details: A small clinical study in adults with overweight or obesity shows that taking 7-keto-DHEA 100 mg twice daily for 8 weeks along with supervised exercise reduces body weight by around 2 kg and body fat percentage by around 1% when compared with exercise alone (5842,92187).
• Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Although there has been interest in using oral 7-keto-DHEA for PTSD, there is insufficient reliable information about the clinical effects of 7-keto-DHEA for this purpose.
• Raynaud syndrome. Although there has been interest in using oral 7-keto-DHEA for Raynaud syndrome, there is insufficient reliable information about the clinical effects of 7-keto-DHEA for this purpose. More evidence is needed to rate 7-keto-DHEA for these uses.

Gastrointestinal ...Orally, 7-keto-DHEA has been associated with two reports of nausea in one clinical study (92185).

Hematologic ...A case report describes decreased hemoglobin and hematocrit levels in a man taking 7-keto-DHEA orally, 25 mg twice daily for 7 days (10404). The clinical significance of this is not clear.

Neurologic/CNS ...Orally, 7-keto-DHEA has been associated with one report of vertigo in one clinical study (92185).
